Day 1 CUSCO – TINKI – UPIS
We will pick you up at 6:00 am and go in a private minivan to the beginning of our hike at the base of the majestic Ausangate mountain.
We will start the trek from Tinqui. You will walk through many remote villages with many stream crossings until you reach the small village of Upis. Here our tents will already be set up. Our cook will prepare a delicious lunch. After lunch, you have the option to hike to the lakes, which takes 2 hours. You will have the opportunity to enjoy the first starry night, you will remember it for life.

Day 2 UPIS – PASO DE ARAPA – PUCACOCHA
We will wake you up at 5:00 am with coca tea, delivered to your tent and you will be given a delicious breakfast. In the morning, start hiking to Arapa Pass (4968 m). Along the way we will observe local farmers and alpacas, snow-covered Ausangate on your left side and you will have a Spanish-speaking guide who will explain about the flora, fauna and the landscape along the trail.
If we are lucky, we will be able to see condors, chinchillas and vicuñas. In addition, we will enjoy colorful lakes and arrive at our Pucacocha camp, where we will be surrounded by high mountains and incredible hanging glaciers, watch and listen as the glacier crashes into the tarns! As usual, tents will be set up for us to spend the night, take a nap, and have our lunch and dinner prepared by our professional chef.

Day 3 PUCACOCHA – ANANTA
Today is a difficult but short day, we start with the Puca Qocha pass (5051), very colorful mountains that surround it. In addition to having a spectacular view of Mount Ausangate and the colorful glacial lakes, we will enter the Red Mountain valley, an untouched landscape with vivid colors and llamas eating grass near you, when you approach the camp, we still have wonderful view of the rocky mountains and have a delicious lunch and go to rest for the next big day.

Day 4 ANANTA – MONTAÑA ARCO IRIS – AUSANGATE COCHA
This is the day you’ve been waiting for. We will wake you up at 04:45 a.m. with coca tea delivered to your tent, then we will start with the first uphill to the Ananta Pass (15,090 feet- 4500 masl -14,000 feet) from where, you see this incredible Rainbow Mountain in the distance, but you still don’t They are there! From this spot you descend to circle the lake and continue walking along a Peruvian flat until you reach the final uphill slope towards Rainbow Mountain, then we have 360 views of the spectacular landscape around you, soak in the views and enjoy as much as possible, then We return to the camp (Ananta), we have lunch there and continue walking to Lake Ausangate, which is our camp.

Day 5 LAGO AUSANGATE – PASO PALOMANI – SURAPAMAPA
Today we will have the highest point of our hike called Paso de Palomani. But we will walk a short distance because yesterday was a difficult day, beautiful waterfalls, colorful lakes, green swampy pampas. Today is a wonderful day to observe wildlife such as chinchillas, Andean geese, condors and vicuñas.
Lago Ausangate (4300m) – Paso Palomani (5150m) – Surapamapa (4300m)

Day 6 SURAPAMAPA – PASO QAMPA – PACCHANTA – CUSCO
Today is another wonderful day, we will enjoy the deep, red and green lakes. Once in your life you can jump to cool off. On your left side, the incomparable Mount Ausangate is still visible, today is your last day to enjoy the snowy mountain from a close and new angle. Our purpose is to obtain the Pacchanta hot springs, where we will enjoy nice, hot water and the views of Mount Ausangate above. Today, after our last lunch, we say goodbye to our muleteers and the chef and return to Cusco, where you will be dropped off at your hotel around 6:00 p.m.
